St. Andrew’s is blessed with the charism of fellowship—we love hanging out together! 

Coffee Hour

Each Sunday after the service, we host “Coffee Hour” in our Fellowship Hall. We’ve heard from visitors that we have the best coffee for miles around. The coffee not only comes in decaf or regular but also is served with light, tasty snacks. 

In addition, on holidays and other designated Sundays, we throw potlucks. When everyone brings a dish, we easily fill two tables with food! 

Breaking bread together is a vital part of our communal life. During this fellowship, our clergy and lay people, old and young, sit down at the table together and feast, free.

Children’s Choir/Adult Choir

Once a month, the children and youth attend “Children’s Choir” following the service. Here, they learn the foundations of music as well as the Episcopal liturgical calendar. The Children’s Choir sings at designated Sunday services or other special occasions.

Throughout the year, adults who love to “make a joyful noise” rehearse songs that they then perform during Sunday services or other special occasions.

Summer Fellowship Events

Each summer, St. Andrew’s hosts three social events. You may catch us taking in a Burlington Sock Puppets game; throwing a Maryland-style crab boil or BBQ; knocking down pins at the local bowling alley; and more.

Vacation Church Camp

Children at St. Andrew’s participate in Vacation Church Camp through our relationships with other parishes. For more information, please contact the clergy.

Evening Prayer/Bible Study

During Advent and Lent, St. Andrew’s hosts weekly Evening Prayer followed by a simple supper and devotional study. This helps us approach the High Holidays with reverence as we dig into Scripture with one another.

House Blessings

During Epiphany, clergy perform House Blessings for members of the congregation. This can be a fun and holy occasion to bless the walls of a new home (or business). If you’ve recently moved, started a business, or finally turned that old shed into your Man Cave, let’s schedule a House Blessing. What better way to welcome people into your new space? As the New Zealand Prayer Book reminds us, “The blessing of a home encourages Christians to dedicate their life at home to God and to others.”
